As of now, this poll is closed. Answers will be posted shortly.

Okay, a poll! The voting will be open until the day I post chapter 43 (the one after next), as some answers will be received then. The person who gets the most right will get to choose an Inevitable missing scene of their choice. What I mean is, you can go back to any point in the story to date (or before the story beings if you so desire) and tell me to fill in the blanks (with the character POV of your choice).

So: Vote!

[Poll #645141]

As an aside, two things about skyehawke: is there someone way to look at all stories besides HP? All I can ever find on the latest page is HP, and the same thing on the "most popular" page (and those are all SS/HP or DM/HP or DM/SS or DM/SS/HP). Speaking of which, what does this mean: M/M,M/M/M,Anal,D/s,Slash, Mpreg?

= This fic contains male pairings (M/M) and threesomes (M/M/M), depiction/s of anal sex, dominant/submissive, slash (o rly?), and male pregnancy.

I don't know what this says about me, that I can translate that. Probably that I've spent too much time wading through the Pit of Voles ;)

is there any safe amount of time to spend at the Pit of Voles?

Oh, certainly! If the infinity of stories you wade through are like grains of sand, and ff.net is like water (sticking the sand together and stopping it from blowing away in the breezes of the intarweb), then: a little = "ooh, exfoliation!"; a lot = "arg, help, quicksa--" *glub*.

The trick is getting out before you're sucked under.

*here endeth the improbable and egregiously extended metaphor*

hee hee... so what you're trying to tell me is that you've been warped for life?

Hey, I resemble that remark!

On a more serious note, while I don't go out of my way to read bad fic (fanfic or otherwise), it is far easier to see what makes good writing when you're reading Really Bad Writing, as opposed to the most beautiful paragraph known to man. I have learned more from the Pit, and from giving crits to others, than from reading the writing I love or from crits received.

(the beautiful paragraph has its place in learning - it's just harder to see what makes it so good if that's all you've ever known)
