mhalachaiOh, NCIS. You almost made it interesting. That said, I was almost about to watch the new NCIS spin-off Legend and then the END with the GUNS (before the Ziva bit) made me go "screw THAT".
That noise you heard at 4pm was me "saving my username" on Dreamwidth. I'll be posting everything at LJ, at least until LiveJournal starts kicking kittens for Satan or something similar. So please don't stop checking my updates here :)
And because I just wrote that, there will be fic of some kind this weekend. Promise.

Oh, Mhal... so we aren't hogging your post... I'm not sure about the spin off. I may try it out, but what was up with the shooting thing? Did Chris O'Donnell not sign on for the show? I don't see him doing much of anything after the bullets he took.

Date: 2009-05-06 06:47 am (UTC)I was all stoked for the spin off for the sole reason that Chris O'Donnell is awesome. Then this? GAH. I'll probably catch the opening ep, but I'm no longer as excited as I was at, say, minute 39 of that episode.
It reminded me, tho, that NCIS is all about its characters. The brief snippets of Abby and Tony and Ziva? Amazing.

Date: 2009-05-06 06:54 am (UTC)Tony and Abby were *awesome*. Tony and Ziva issues aside, that brief scene in the squad room made me so gleeful. Anytime Abby misses McGee I smile. Especially when she accidentally called him McGoo on the phone ;) The best part of NCIS has always been the characters and their intense quirkiness :)

Date: 2009-05-06 06:16 pm (UTC)As soon as Callan said he thought someone was watching him, I started yelling, "No, no, NO!" at the T.V. and mentally removing this spin-off from my list of things to watch.
O'Donnell's character was the only person in the new cast whom I found remotely interesting, but I had the feeling that he was too big a movie actor (and therefore probably too expensive) to be a regular, and that they'd made him just too much more interesting than the rest of that crew. Therefore, the guy's gonna die, I told myself.
No Callan = no need to watch 'Legend'.

Date: 2009-05-06 07:43 am (UTC)The psych guy was creepy - my mom thought he'd go postal. And the head girl was trying too hard. And as soon as he said, 'I think someone's following me', you knew the bullets were coming.
NCIS though requires Abby and comradeship... And it was just sorta pushed aside by the Spinoff, hey spinoff.. And I hate the touch screen tech, it's also, wow I'm expensive and new and shiny and perhaps wasting more time than I'm worth - but I'm a toy!

Date: 2009-05-06 02:33 pm (UTC)And the profiler's little 'story' to Gibbs about how Mace(sp?) has been covering for him for years?! I called bullshit. Everything we've seen about Gibbs' revenge on the man who killed his wife and kid, there would have been nothing but circumstantial evidence, nothing actionable. (yes, I know they said she buried it, but really!) I have no idea what they thought they were doing there, but that bugged me more than the gun drama.
I think I'll still try out Legend, if only for LL Cool J. I just love him.
